Professional Journey

Upon graduation from FSU, Dr. Byno served as a professor at Florida State University and taught courses at Tallahassee Community College. Courses taught include: family relationships, parenting, introduction to counseling, individual life span development, marriage & family, and human sexuality, among others. Dr. Byno helped establish a supervised visitation program and supervised Ph.D. level graduate students at FSU’s couples and family therapy clinic while also providing therapy at her privately owned therapy practice in Tallahassee, Florida.

When her husband got a job in New Hampshire, Dr. Byno followed where she developed a thriving private practice and began her affiliation with Antioch University New England.  However, the Byno’s heart never left Tallahassee, so in 2019 they happily decided to return to the city and friends that they loved.  Dr. Byno is now back in Tallahassee for good and excited to work with clients to help them reach their life goals.
